People who have never been involved with Network Marketing
may not understand why a perfectly sane person would lower
themselves and do this business! But consider this…the reason why
we do most things is because the rewards or benefits outweigh
BENEFITS: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ earned vs. $ to run the business
- good feeling of helping others
- sense of success
- learning new useful skills
- new friendships…bonding
- increased self esteem
- time freedom
- ability to have true choice
- improved health (especially for those in a nutritional MLM)
- can choose who you work with and where
- tax benefits
time commitment may be initially high
abuse by sponsor/leaders
failure to achieve goals
Since this is business….the driving force is usually $$$$$, and the items or services
one can acquire from the purchasing power of the potential income. Let’s face it, it is
the dream of success that brings networkers back for more.
The value of network marketing is that it allows anyone to “purchase” a business
for very little risk. The financial comparisons between embarking on an MLM venture
and a franchise is astronomical. Few people have the hundreds of thousands required
for eg. a MacDonald’s franchise, so the value is in the low financial risk of the business
in comparison to the financial rewards.
Many MLM “ads” or “lead capture pages” entice us with visions of happy people
on vacation, slick cars, and beautiful large homes fit for a movie star….the “dream”.
Another aspect of value is that you can work at your MLM business anywhere
where you have access to communication devices, ie phones, and/or internet.
You can choose when you work, how many hours, who you work with,
who you bring into your business. These aspects have tremendous value for people,
you don’t have to work with an annoying person. I’ve even “fired” my “leader” and
refused to work with her due to her incompetence. In MLM you can do this,
you have a choice. Try this in your day job and you’ll be shown the door.
There are failures, plenty of them, that’s why MLM can have a bad reputation.
However, there is more to this consideration. Which business, what system
will get you what you want the most…the financial value.
That discussion is for another post!!!
